Is ELCC treated differently for storage resources based on duration (for example, pumped storage versus a 4 hour battery)?
Yes. PJM distinguishes storage resources by duration, and ELCC values vary accordingly. For example, a 4 hour storage resource will have a different ELCC than storage resources with longer durations, such as 6 , 8 , or 10 hour storage, including pumped storage. These distinctions are defined by PJM and reflect how storage duration affects reliability contribution.
