We will answer all questions submitted as soon as possible. In order to preserve anonymity, not every question will be posted on the website.  If substantially similar questions are asked by more than one stakeholder, they will be combined into a single question/answer.

Will the presentation slides or other materials presented at meetings be posted to the stakeholder website?

What will Dominion Energy do with the input received from stakeholders?

Input submitted during the stakeholder process will be reviewed and compiled into a report that will be included in the final IRP filing to the Virginia State Corporation Commission and North Carolina Utilities Commission and posted on the Stakeholder Meetings & Materials page.

Will Dominion Energy use all the stakeholder feedback in its 2024 Dominion Energy Virginia and North Carolina IRP modeling?

Our IRP team will carefully consider all feedback gathered from the stakeholder process for inclusion in the IRP.

Who is participating in each small group meeting and how many meetings can a stakeholder participate in?

We had over 150 individuals express interest in the stakeholder process. The small group meetings are meant to be a small collaborative environment where stakeholders can provide input to third-party facilitators.  The small groups were determined by date availability. Our priority is ensuring every stakeholder is included and has an equal opportunity to provide input throughout the process, which is best accomplished in smaller groups, as recommended by the third-party facilitators.  A report from each small group meeting will be made available on the public IRP stakeholder webpage.

What is the agenda of the small group meetings?

Each small group meeting will start with introductions and a brief presentation. Then our third-party facilitators will lead the discussions to receive feedback from stakeholders, which will vary between each meeting.

Question 7

When is the IRP filed? How does the stakeholder process influence the filing?

Accepted Answer

Dominion Energy will file its IRP by October 15. Your participation influences the IRP filing process by providing our team with valuable information, input and ideas. Our team members will review and consider feedback gathered from this process as they draft the IRP. A critical consideration for incorporation of feedback is the ability to develop an IRP that ensures a reliable grid. Additionally, a report containing stakeholder feedback collected during the stakeholder process will be filed with the IRP when submitted to the Virginia State Corporation Commission and North Carolina Utilities Commission.

When will the small group meeting reports be made available to participants?

The third-party facilitators will compile feedback from each meeting into a report, which will then be made available for review by small group members for accuracy before it is submitted to us. Once submitted, these reports will be posted on the IRP Stakeholder Meetings & Materials page.

Will stakeholders have an opportunity to review the IRP with the Company after it is filed?

After the IRP is filed with the Virginia State Corporation Commission and North Carolina Utilities Commission, stakeholders will be invited to a meeting to review the IRP filing. We welcome your feedback about how we can continue to improve the stakeholder process in future years.

Who are the third-party facilitators?

Mark Rubin and Cynthia Hudson of the McCammon Group will be facilitating the IRP stakeholder process. Mark Rubin’s extensive experience spans working with former Governor Tim Kaine, contributing to the academic community at Virginia Commonwealth University and leading the Virginia Center for Consensus Building. Perhaps most notably, Mark facilitated the “Rubin Group,” a diverse assembly of stakeholders who successfully navigated complex energy policy discussions during the intervening period between the 2016 and 2017 Virginia General Assembly sessions. His deep understanding of the utility space makes him an invaluable asset to this process.Cynthia Hudson has been a trailblazer in legal practice and litigation in local and state government for two decades. As the first African American woman to serve as Virginia’s chief deputy attorney general, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise. Her recent transition to the McCammon Group only amplifies her commitment to collaborative problem-solving, earning her high praise from peers.
