How are grid-enhancing technologies (GETs) accounted for within the IRP model?
At this time, GETs are not explicitly modeled within the IRP as stand-alone solutions. Their inclusion is typically tied to PJM’s identification of specific system constraints and the evaluation of solutions to address those needs. Where such constraints and approved solutions exist, they are incorporated through the PJM planning inputs used in the IRP.
