What factors does Dominion Energy consider when establishing solar and storage build limits for the IRP?
Build limits are used in the IRP to reflect real-world constraints and ensure the model produces practical, implementable results. These limits can represent factors such as supply chain considerations, siting and permitting timelines, interconnection requirements, and the pace at which new resources can realistically be developed and integrated onto the system.
The Company also considers historical deployment experience and other implementation factors when evaluating appropriate build assumptions. For the 2026 IRP, stakeholders will be provided an opportunity to offer input on alternative build limits through the stakeholder input case survey.
