How does Dominion Energy calculate the amount, power, and duration of LDES for each scenario.
Unit parameters such as capacity, power, and duration of LDES technologies are treated as PLEXOS model inputs that represent the relative capabilities of said resources. The power and duration of each resource is determined by the technology, readiness, and possible deployment schedule. The total amount of resources selected in a plan are selected by the model based on their ability to provide energy and capacity relative to their cost and other model parameters.
