What demand reduction or energy efficiency programs do you have in place to reduce peak data center load? And what do these programs cost?
Dominion Energy offers a specialized program for data centers that includes measures such as cooling equipment upgrades, and data centers may also participate in other programs like new construction incentives. Demand response programs are evaluated through cost-benefit analyses and are typically activated during periods of high system demand when grid operators need additional resources. Together, Dominion Energy’s energy efficiency and demand response programs are intended to help manage and reduce overall load on the electric system.
